AUTHORITIES confiscated more than ₱1 million worth of shabu and arrested a top regional-level drug target while serving a search warrant at 3:05 p.m. in Bago Uma, Menterbro, Barangay Ilang, Bunawan District on Monday, Aug. 4, 2025.
The suspect was identified as alias Am-am, 31, a married and jobless resident of the area.
The joint operation was conducted to enforce Search Warrant No. 2563 for violation of Sec 11 of R.A. 9165, which was signed by Regional Trial Court XI Executive Judge Rowena M. Apao-Adlawan.
During the raid, operatives seized five sachets of shabu, a maroon coin purse, ₱300 in cash, and a brown sling bag. According to police, the seized drugs have an estimated standard street price of ₱1,040,400.
They also recovered an Armscor .38 REV 202 handgun with two live rounds of ammunition.
The joint operation was carried out by a composite team the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit XI, led by Lt. Richard Dionisio and under the supervision of Major Maynard Pascual; the Davao City Police Office’s Drug Enforcement Unit/Special Operations Group (DCPO-CDEU/SOG), led by Lt. Col. Randy Sambalod; the City Intelligence Unit; 2nd City Mobile Force Company’s Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team; the Riverine Team, and the Bunawan Police Station.
The arrested individual is now in police custody for proper disposition.
