ACTING city police director, Col. Mannan Muarip, shared his vision for a “D.A.V.A.O.” police force, emphasizing dedication, integrity, and proactive community collaboration to ensure peace and public safety.
Local personnel welcomed Muarip on Wednesday, July 16, with a ceremony at the DCPO Presidential Hall, Camp Captain Domingo E. Leonor, San Pedro Street.
The ceremony was presided over by Brig Gen Joseph R. Arguelles, acting director of the Police Regional Office XI.
In his remarks, Arguelles conveyed his full confidence in Muarip’s leadership and dedication to upholding the DCPO’s mandate.
Muarip, in his acceptance speech, expressed deep gratitude for the opportunity to serve the people of Davao City.
He reaffirmed his steadfast commitment to maintaining and enhancing the DCPO’s core mission: ensuring peace and order, promoting public safety, and cultivating robust community partnerships.
He emphasized the critical importance of teamwork and proactive collaboration among law enforcement personnel, local government units, various stakeholders, and the broader community as essential for achieving sustainable peace and development in the city.
Col Muarip also articulated his vision for the police force, encapsulating it with the acronym D.A.V.A.O.:
