SENATOR Christopher “Bong” Go has voiced concern over the reported condition of former President Rodrigo Duterte after the latter passed on his final wishes to Vice President Sara Duterte during a scheduled visit in the ICC detention cell.
“He does not deserve this!” Go stated. “He should grow old here in our Motherland, here in our country that he served with utmost loyalty, just to give his fellow Filipinos a comfortable life. He should be here now, with us.”
Go, who considers Duterte a second father, urged the Filipino people to continue praying for the former president.
He further insisted: “Let us bring him home, alive, because, as he once said, the Philippines is the land of his birth, it is the home of his people.”
Go was the long-time aide of then mayor and former president Rodrigo Duterte in Davao city.
