THE EASTERN Mindanao Command (EastMinCom) concluded its three-day Reserve Force Joint Training Exercise (RFJTEX) “ANDAM 2025” on July 27, demonstrating a strong commitment to enhancing the operational readiness and coordination between its reserve and regular forces.
The large-scale exercise, held in Basilisa, Dinagat Islands, aimed to validate the capability of reservists to support both national defense and humanitarian operations.
The “ANDAM 2025” exercise, which ran from July 25 to 27, brought together a diverse contingent of personnel, including reservists and regular forces from the 4th and 10th Infantry Divisions (4ID, 10ID), Naval Forces Eastern Mindanao (NFEM), Tactical Operations Wing – Eastern Mindanao (TOW-EM), and various Reserve Centers and Brigades of the Armed Forces of the Philippines Reserve Command (AFPRESCOM).
A key focus of the training was Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response Operations (HADRO), reflecting the military’s proactive role in disaster preparedness, response, and recovery, particularly in a region frequently affected by natural calamities.
Participants engaged in realistic scenarios designed to test their ability to effectively respond to emergencies and provide aid.
Alongside HADRO, the exercise also featured warfighting capability demonstrations.
This segment showcased the reserve units’ capacity to seamlessly integrate with active forces, supporting joint combat operations and contributing to national defense during armed conflicts and other security threats.
The simulation involved the actual mobilization of major service Ready Reserve Units (RRUs), validating their operational integration with regular forces under different Joint Task Forces (JTFs) during multi-scenario drills.
EastMinCom highlighted that “ANDAM 2025” served as a “force multiplier strategy,” reinforcing interoperability and joint mission execution among the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine components of both reserve and active military forces.
This extensive training initiative underscores the Armed Forces of the Philippines’ ongoing modernization efforts, emphasizing jointness, readiness, and the strategic deployment of both regular and reserve forces for national defense and civil support roles.
Through “ANDAM 2025,” EastMinCom aims to empower its reservists, strengthen community resilience, and establish robust joint training frameworks that will ensure seamless and synchronized responses during any emergency or national defense scenario.
