THE DAVAO City Police Office (DCPO) conducted a comprehensive simulation exercise (SiMex) drill on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at the City Integrated Command Center, significantly bolstering its rapid response capabilities for critical incidents.

Under the direct supervision of acting city director Col Mannan C. Muarip, the exercise, which commenced at approximately 9:10 a.m., aimed to enhance tactical preparedness and inter-agency coordination among various police units.

The simulated scenario, classified as Alarm 1032 (person carrying firearm), unfolded at the virtual location of RCBC along CM Recto Street, J.P. Laurel, Bajada.

Multiple rapid deployment units were engaged in the drill, demonstrating swift mobilization and coordinated efforts.

Impressive response times were recorded across the participating units:

  • Mobile Patrol Unit (MPU), 1st and 2nd Mobile (J56) Blocking Force: 56 seconds
  • Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Assault Team: 1 minute and 57 seconds

All responding units reportedly successfully met the objectives of the exercise. The activity concluded efficiently at exactly 9:30 a.m., highlighting the DCPO’s operational excellence and swift mobilization capabilities.
