DCPO launch official app, website to modernize public services

THE DAVAO City Police Office (DCPO) announced on Tuesday, Sept. 16, that it is developing an official mobile application and website to improve public access to police services and information.

AThe initiative aims to enhance transparency and provide vital resources to the city’s residents.Col Mannan Muarip, acting city police chief, led a strategic meeting at the DCPO headquarters to kickstart the project.

The meeting focused on the operational framework for the new digital platforms, which are designed to put key services, updates, and safety resources directly in the hands of the public.

During the session, Mr. Jamman Candu Muarip served as a resource person, delivering a lecture on digital integration and user-centered design. Muarip emphasized that embracing technology is crucial for building stronger community ties and streamlining communication.

The digital initiative is a key part of the DCPO’s mandate to uphold proactive policing, efficiency, and citizen empowerment in the digital age.

He said the project reflects a modern approach to public service, ensuring the police are more accessible and responsive to the needs of the community.
