THE DAVAO City Police Office (DCPO) responded to two separate incidents with a response time of under four minutes, according to acting director Col Mannan Caracas Muarip.

On Sept. 4, 2025, at approximately 5:53 p.m., personnel from Police Station 16 in Ma-a, led by station commander Maj Philip Dave A. Uddin, responded to a call for assistance regarding a stabbing at Laz Terrazas Subdivision.

Police operatives arrived on the scene in just 2 minutes and 5 seconds and immediately took control of the situation.

Similarly, on Sept. 5, 2025, at around 1:01 a.m., personnel from Sasa Police Station 4, led by station commander Maj Noe L. Macolbacol Jr., responded to a reported theft at Block 10, Cambridge, Malagamot.

The suspect was apprehended within four minutes of the call.

Muarip said these consecutive apprehensions underscore the responsiveness and high level of preparedness by the DCPO personnel.

“The incidents demonstrate that the Philippine National Police’s (PNP) 5-minute response time directive is being actively and effectively implemented in Davao City,” he said.
