CITY POLICE director Col Mannan C. Muarip directed all station commanders to intensify their measures against street-level crime and fortify community relations.

In a late-night strategic meeting on Aug. 26, Muarip gathered all station commanders to remind them about the PNP’s Six-Point Agenda and the DCPO’s D.A.V.A.O. Framework.

During the meeting, Muarip emphasized the importance of “strategic foot patrols” in roads and alleys that are typically inaccessible to police cars and motorcycles. This initiative aims to increase police visibility and deter crime in densely populated and vulnerable areas.

The patrols will be conducted in close coordination with barangay officials, tanods, and police auxiliaries.

He said the directives are part of a comprehensive approach to enhance community engagement and improve public safety.

“Our mission is clear: to ensure every corner of Davao City is safe and secure,” said Muarip.

He stressed that by aligning with the national agenda and adapting to the unique needs of their communities, the DCPO is reaffirming its commitment to serving with integrity, vigilance, and compassion.

The DCPO’s strategy focuses on collaborative leadership, data-driven enforcement, and community-based policing to create a safer Davao for everyone.
