A BURGLARY Suspect was arrested in the early hours of Thursday after he fell from his hiding spot in the ceiling of a business establishment in Juna Subdivision, Quimpo Boulevard.
The suspect, identified as Joemel, 19, was apprehended after a building employee and a security guard reported the incident.
According to a police report from Ecoland Police Station 15, patrol officers responded to a 911 call at 3:18 a.m. on Aug. 21, 2025, from an employee of Asian Hybrid Seed Technologies, Inc.
The employee told authorities that he was awakened by a noise and, upon checking the CCTV, saw a person roaming inside the building. He contacted the security guard, and the two worked together to secure the exits before contacting the police.
Upon arrival, officers PSSg Salandron and PSSg Reyes searched the premises. They heard a noise coming from the ceiling of a ground-floor room.
When they ordered the suspect to come down, he slipped and fell to the floor, where he was immediately apprehended. While falling, he also dropped a black laptop bag.
Police recovered several stolen items from the bag, including three laptops (one Lenovo and two Asus), a Samsung Android phone, a computer mouse, and various chargers. The total value of the stolen items is estimated to be over P66,000.
He was brought to Police Station 15 in Ecoland and is now awaiting proper disposition.
