BRIGADIER General Felix Ronnie Babac, the outgoing commander of the 1001st Infantry Brigade, has been designated as the new assistant division commander of the 1st Infantry “Tabak” Division, headquartered at Major Cesar Sang-an, Upper Pulacan in Labangan.
In a message to the TIMES on Friday afternoon, Babac expressed his gratitude for the appointment.
“Of course, thanks to the appointing authority, from President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to the Commanding General of the Philippine Army (CGPA),” he said.
A date for the official assumption ceremony has not yet been set.
The 1st Infantry (Tabak) Division announced the promotions on social media, extending its congratulations to Brig. Gen. Babac and other designated leaders.
The post praised their “proven dedication, professionalism, and courage” and stated that their promotions were a “testament to years of steadfast leadership, sacrifice, and commitment to duty.”
Other key appointments announced include Brig. Gen. Frederick M. Sales — commander, 101st Infantry (Three Red Arrows) Brigade; 1st Infantry Division Col. Eddie M. Pilapil — deputy commander, Installation Management Command; and Col. Yasser R. Bara — commander, 1101st Infantry (Gagandilan) Brigade, 11th Infantry (Alakdan) Division
