SOLDIERS of the 89th Infantry Battalion brought essential services to the remote community of Sitio Natampud in San Fernando, Bukidnon, assisting 200 residents.

The outreach program, held on Aug. 16, 2025, was led by 2nd Lieutenant Kim John Barbolino and Sergeant Darwin P. Gumalando of the 89th Infantry (MAKATAO) Battalion’s Alpha Company.

They partnered with Barangay Kagawad Kristine Mae Ramos and Valencia City businesswoman Louisse Jean Ipanag.

During the event, the group distributed food packs, slippers, and meals to underprivileged locals. The effort aims to strengthen the bond between the military and the community.

The Army stated that the activity not only brought relief to the residents of Sitio Natampud but also reaffirmed its commitment to serving as a protector and partner in building peaceful and resilient communities.
