By Rhoda Grace B Saron AUTHORITIES confiscated ₱895,725.00 worth of suspected shabu from a suspect during a joint operation at the Sirawan, Toril, checkpoint at around 7:50 p.m. on Sunday, July 6, 2025.

The operation, conducted by Task Force Davao (TFD) and the Davao City Police Office (DCPO), led to the arrest of alias Alnor, 30, a resident of Tacurong, Sultan Kudarat, and a vendor-farmer from Lanao del Sur.

He was traveling toward Davao City on a silver Toyota Hiace van with plate number FJH 138 when authorities conducted a thorough inspection.

During the inspection, law enforcement personnel recovered 19 sachets of what was believed to be shabu weighing 119.43 grams.

He was turned over to the Toril Police Station, facing a charge for violating Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).

Colonel Rodrigo A. Mariñas Jr., commander of Task Force Davao, lauded the dedication and vigilance of the TFD and DCPO personnel, which are crucial in preventing the entry of contraband.
