A VIBRANT festivity of retro vibes from the 70s to the 90s, ‘MonteFrio at Five Years’ brings an unforgettable disco night of fireworks, neon lights, live band performances, and above all, a celebration of the resort’s dedication to providing the best luxurious highland escape experiences over the years.

Guests and fellow tourism partners enjoyed a colorful evening grooving in their retro-themed attires and dancing to the beat of the greatest hits music while enjoying cocktails, karaoke, and a delectable dinner buffet served by MonteFrio’s excellent fine dining.

As part of the anniversary, promos of P999 were introduced that include live acoustic, rave party, photobooths, and games, and prizes along with a ‘Retro Party 5 Peso’ availment of five full tickets priced at P349 per person, with the sixth ticket at P5.

Exclusive promos of room rates for Villa, Superior, Barkada, and Family were also featured, which offer tourists relaxing and breathtaking nature view room accommodations.

For five years, MonteFrio continues to bring a unique dream tourism destination blending nature and luxury comfort, where travelers get to experience a serene vacation stay with the majesty of Mt. Apo.

Visitors can indulge in its poolside events, a view bar with expertly crafted beverages, RestoNante 1 and 2 for those who savor local and international cuisines, Cafe Frio & Alfresco for freshly brewed coffee and refreshing drinks, KTV Karaoke for fun-filled moments with friends and family, and many more.

The resort began its humble years in 2019, when it started as a simple family resthouse and commenced its operation in 2020 amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. MonteFrio continued to expand its progress by building a spa and wellness center, sales and marketing office, gaming station, and pasalubong shop in 2021.

“We are proud to say that MonteFrio is homegrown, rooted in the culture of Davao del Sur, and built by the hands of a passionate team who believed in our vision from day one. This is a Filipino-owned resort, built with a Filipino heart, for Filipino and international guests alike,” CEO Renante Salazar said on July 12 during the anniversary celebration.

In 2024, it opened its first-ever closed cable car with glass floors in Mindanao, and created a satellite office in Davao City in 2025, located in Dacudao Avenue, Poblacion District, for those who book in at the resort without going to Kapatagan, Digos City.
