PADRE Ninno’s Gourmet Sauces, Cacao de Davao, and Malagos Farmhouse partnered for a unique farm-to-table and local taste experience on Oct. 5 at the Dusit Gourmet to celebrate Davao City’s homegrown food artisans.

In line with Dusit Hotels & Resorts’ annual “Food for Thought” campaign, the event aims to promote local products and highlight the artisans who shaped Davao’s culinary scene and vibrant flavors.

The menu was prepared by Dusit Thani, known for elevating regional culinary craftsmanship and meaningful dining experiences. It will also be available at the hotel’s Siam Lounge for the whole month of October.

Guests are treated to starters, salads, pizzas, pastas, desserts, and beverages, all made with fresh ingredients from the three local brands.

Padre Ninno’s Gourmet Sauces offers its signature bottled creations, including artisanal pasta sauces, herbed mushrooms, and other Italian recipes made on their farm.

Malagos Farmhouse is famous for pioneering handcrafted cheeses in the Philippines from locally sourced cows and goats. Popular cheese varieties of Malagos are the Mango Sublime, Blue Goat Cheese, Borracho, and others.

Cacao de Davao, a prominent farm-to-bar chocolate brand, continues to elevate Davao’s cacao industry through partnerships, promoting local, and supporting local farmers. The company has produced popular chocolate products from tableas to flavored bars, all locally sourced from cacao farms.

“Together with our culinary team here in DusitD2 Davao, we have brought these products into a menu that highlights flavors of Davao City and of course the passion behind each local brand. So, it’s really a story of each of our partners,” Aleeya De Castro, Manager of Guest Excellence for Dusit Hotels and Resorts in Davao, said in her opening remarks.

City Councilor Edgar Ibuyan attended the event and shared his message of support, saying that the city’s homegrown cheeses and cacao are truly world-class if they are spotlighted in a grand hotel such as Dusit Thani. He hopes that the collaborations will continue to boost what Davao is known for.

“Davao is known as a food basket, going places for many things like coffee, cacao, chocolates, and our local fruits here like durian. We want to highlight that; we want the whole world to see what Davao is capable of,” Ibuyan said.
