- 21-year-old yields P1.2-M worth of shabu, party drugs in buy-bust
OVER P1.2 million worth of shabu and party drugs were seized from a 21-year-old female suspect following a buy-bust in Conde residence in S.I.R. Phase 1, Barangay 76-A, at 11:44 p.m. on Sunday, July 20.
Police identified the arrested individual as alias Chang, supposedly a single businesswoman.
Operatives of the Mandug Police Station-Special Drug Enforcement Unit, under the direct supervision of Maj Rejie Gucor Torrita, and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency XI, allegedly sold a medium-sized heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet to the suspect.
The white crystalline substance, suspected to be shabu, weighed approximately five grams, with an estimated standard drug price of P 34,000. The transaction involved P15,500 in marked money, the report said.
A subsequent search yielded six more medium-sized sachets of suspected shabu, totaling approximately 30 grams valued at P204,000. Also, police seized two large-sized sachets of suspected shabu, weighing around 140 grams, with an estimated worth of P952,000.
Finally, operatives also found 17 tablets of suspected party drugs in three different colors (10 blue, four pink, three black), with a combined estimated street value of P25,500.
Along with the drugs, they also take an iPhone 13 cellular phone, the buy-bust marked money, and P2,600 in personal cash, along with a black sling bag as part of the evidence.
The total standard drug price of all seized illegal drugs, including the shabu and party drugs, amounts to an estimated P1,215,500.
Chang is currently in the custody of the Mandug Police Station facing a charge for violations of Section 5 (Sale, Trading, Administration, Dispensation, Delivery, Distribution, and Transportation of Dangerous Drugs) and Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs) of Article II of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
