THE DEPARTMENT of Education (DepEd) Davao City Division joined forces with the Davao City Police Office (DCPO) to fortify campus security measures and ensure a safe learning environment for students, teachers, and school staff.

Schools Division superintendent Reynante A. Solitario led the education delegation during a strategic security conference with DCPO leadership, headed by PCOL Peter B. Madria and Police Station 15 (Ecoland) commander PMAJ Rosario Aguilar.

SIR Elementary School principal Cecilia D. Cardoza and other local school administrators were also in attendance.

The inter-agency meeting addressed pressing security issues in local campuses and established streamlined protocols for real-time coordination between academic authorities and police precincts.

Key Focus Areas of the Security Partnership:

  1. Direct assessment of recent security-related incidents near school vicinities.
  2. Establishing faster communication channels between school administrators and nearby police stations for immediate response.
  3. Intensifying visible police patrols, entrance checks, and community-based monitoring to safeguard students, teaching personnel, and non-teaching staff.

DepEd Davao City expressed its appreciation to the DCPO for its active support in maintaining peace and order around school zones, noting that strong collaboration with law enforcement remains essential to maintaining a conducive learning atmosphere for Davaoeño youth.
