THE DAVAO Police Office (DCPO) held a turnover and blessing ceremony for newly acquired mobility assets at its headquarters in Capt. Domingo E. Leonor, San Pedro Street, as part of the continued effort to strengthen public safety and enhance operational efficiency.
The ceremony, led by Colonel Mannan C. Muarip, acting DCPO director, marked the official handover of three commuter vans donated by the City Government of Davao to three key specialized units:
- Davao City Police Cyber Response Team
- Davao City Forensic Unit
- DCPO Women and Children Protection Desk
These newly acquired vehicles are expected to significantly enhance the logistical capability, mobility, and responsiveness of these units in carrying out their distinct and vital functions—from digital crime response and forensic investigation to the protection of women and children.
In his message, Muarip thanked Mayor Sebastian “Baste” Duterte for the city’s support of the DCPO’s mission to maintain peace and security.
“These vehicles are more than just assets—they are instruments of public service,” Muarip said. “Through the unwavering support of the City Government of Davao, our police force is now better equipped to respond swiftly, investigate effectively, and serve the Dabawenyos with greater efficiency and compassion.”
