DCPO upholds PRO XI mandate on 5 Cs

by Rhoda Grace Saron

THE DAVAO City Police Office (DCPO), under the leadership of PCOL Peter B. Madria, has vowed to wholeheartedly implement the direction and directives of the newly appointed acting regional director of Police Regional Office XI, BGEN Benigno L. Guzman.

Following the formal welcoming of Guzman at the PRO XI parade grounds at Camp Sgt. Quintin M. Merecido on Sept. 29, Madria immediately called a command conference with the quadstaff, unit, and station commanders at Kapanalig Hall on Sept. 30 to align the city’s operations with the region’s “5 Cs” command framework:

The 5 Cs refer to Crime Prevention, Crime Solution, Community Engagement, Capability Development (Strengthening Police Capability and Capacity), and  Collaboration and Good Governance.

Guzman reminded personnel about the need for discipline and integrity among the police force throughout the Davao Region.

“Rank is not an excuse for misconduct, position is not a license for abuse, and authority must always come with accountability,” he said.

Madria, in turn, affirmed the said directive and urged the entire DCPO ranks to be an example of discipline and professionalism in maintaining peace and order throughout Davao City.
