The enhanced security protocols aim to protect students, teachers, and school personnel while safeguarding campuses against potential violence or disruption.
Under the heightened security drive, law enforcement and school security personnel are enforcing mandatory bag inspections at campus entrances.
All students, faculty members, school staff, and visitors must undergo checks before entering school grounds to prevent the entry of contraband, weapons, or dangerous items.
Simultaneously, specialized teams from the City Explosive and Canine Unit (CECU) remain actively deployed across schools.
Specialist personnel are carrying out continuous Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) and K9 paneling sweeps inside and around school perimeters to detect potential threats and ensure campuses are secure.
The DCPO confirmed it is coordinating closely with the Regional Anti-Cybercrime Unit (RACU) to trace the origin of the circulating Facebook threat and identify the perpetrator.
Alongside tactical operations, police units are conducting public information drives using public address systems on campus grounds.
