DAVAO City Police Office (DCPO) chief Col Mannan Muarip commended the professionalism of law enforcers after the “peaceful and orderly” commemoration of the Sto. Niño feast that drew around 20,000 at the Shrine of the Holy Infant Jesus of Prague in Talomo District on Thursday, Jan. 15.
“The peaceful conclusion is a testament to our proactive planning and the cooperation of the faithful,” Muarip said.
The operation, led by ground commander Maj Genesis P. Oriel, utilized strict access control and baggage inspections to manage the flow of the crowd.
Muarip said that personnel remained vigilant from start to finish, ensuring that the religious expression of the public was not compromised by safety concerns.
The DCPO reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining high visibility during the city’s upcoming large-scale religious and cultural activities.
