DAVAO City Police Office (DCPO) director Col Peter Bauzon Madria formally presented himself to the 21st City Council during its 16th Regular Session on Tuesday morning.

Appearing before the council at approximately 9:29 a.m. at the Sangguniang Panlungsod Building, Madria reaffirmed the DCPO’s commitment to aligning police operations with the city government’s peace and order programs.

“Strong collaboration between the police and the local government is essential in delivering responsive, efficient, and people-centered public service to every Davaoeño,” Madria told the councilors.

During the session, the officer underlined that “shared responsibility” is the backbone of the city’s stability. He emphasized that open coordination with the LGU allows the police to address specific community concerns more effectively than working in isolation.

Madria noted that the DCPO intends to work hand-in-hand with the council to ensure that crime prevention efforts are backed by local legislation and community-based initiatives.

“Through unity and open coordination, we can effectively address community concerns and ensure a safer environment for all residents,” he added.
