DAVAO City Police Office (DCPO) chief, Col Peter B. Madria, convened the oversight committee on Tuesday to recalibrate their tactical response against illegal drugs and evolving crime trends.

The meeting, held at Kapanalig Hall, brought together key DCPO officials to review the Enhanced Managing Police Operations (EMPO) framework.

The session served as a deep dive into the city’s current security landscape, moving beyond routine reporting to analyze the effectiveness of existing intervention programs.

During the oversight session, the police closely examined current challenges and shifts in criminal activity and evaluated the specific intervention programs implemented by various police departments.

The meeting also seeks to ensure that different DCPO units operate with a unified strategy to maximize community safety.

Madria said that by bringing multiple offices into the dialogue, the DCPO aims to foster a culture of vigilance and accountability among its officers.

The meeting underscores a broader push for “unified efforts” to safeguard Davao City, ensuring that police responses are not only reactive but strategically geared toward long-term crime prevention.
