THE DAVAO City Police Office (DCPO) reported a successful week of operations, resulting in the arrest of 102 individuals for various offenses and the confiscation of nearly P888,000 worth of illegal drugs from Nov. 30 to Dec. 6.
Acting city director Col Mannan Muarip said the DCPO conducted 38 anti-illegal drug operations, resulting in the arrest of 44 suspects and the confiscation of 65.52 grams of shabu (SDP: P445,536), and 3,689.96 grams of marijuana (SDP: P442,795.20).
Police also launched 14 anti-illegal gambling operations, arresting 14 gamblers and seizing P2,565 in bet money, and filing 14 cases.
Meanwhile, they also arrested 41 fugitives, including 21 most wanted persons. Finally, four operations on loose firearms led to the arrest of three suspects and the seizure of the firearms. One firearm was also surrendered, and three cases were filed during the same period.
In total, 102 individuals were arrested for various offenses.
Muarip said these achievements reflected not only the dedication of the men and women of DCPO but also the strong partnership with the community, barangay officials, and the local government unit.
