A JOINT police operation led to the arrest of the region’s most wanted person in Governor Generoso, Davao Oriental, on May 3, 2026.

Alias Aris was apprehended in Purok Macaling, Barangay Magdug, during a coordinated manhunt conducted by the Lupon Municipal Police Station Tracker Team.

Police served the warrant issued on February 25, 2026, by Judge Emilio G. Dayanghirang III of the Regional Trial Court, 11th Judicial Region, Branch 32, in Lupon, according to the report of the Police Regional Office XI.

The suspect faces a charge of murder, with no bail recommended, and frustrated murder, with a recommended bail of P120,000.

The operation involved a massive multi-unit effort, including the 2nd Davao Oriental Provincial Mobile Force Company, the 1103rd Maneuver Company of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB) XI, and various intelligence and investigation units, including the CIDG and the Provincial Intelligence Unit.

Upon his arrest, the suspect was informed of his constitutional rights and is currently in police custody for proper disposition.

Police Regional Office XI director BGen Leon Victor Z. Rosette commended the operating units, noting that the apprehension underscores the region’s intensified campaign against high-profile fugitives.

“The successful arrest of our top one most wanted person is proof of the PNP’s intensified campaign against criminality,” Rosete said. “We will continue to ramp up operations to ensure that our service is swift, honest, and felt by the public. We will not stop until those who break the law are held accountable and peace is maintained in our communities.”
