Davao City’s PhilHealth membership coverage rate at 100.82%

DAVAO City has reached a coverage rate of 100.82% with a total of 2,066,714 members and dependents as of September 2025, the PhilHealth XI data revealed.

The city has the highest number of registered members in Davao Region, followed by Davao del Norte with a total of 1,094,947 (100.72%), Davao del Sur with 845,818 (111.20%), Davao de Oro with 765,405 (95.25%), while Davao Oriental has 592,471 (93.54%), which is the lowest in the region.

During the PhilHealth Pakighinabi forum on Oct 24, Davao City also has the largest number of YAKAP (Yaman ng Kalusugan Program) beneficiaries at 558,582.

Region XI presently has a total of 5,487,857 members with a coverage rate of 96.4%, 668 accredited health facilities, and 2,283 accredited healthcare physicians.

Furthermore, PhilHealth XI has paid a total of P10.3 billion in claims from January to September 2025, and paid P272,267,212 YAKAP claims.

As of October 2025, the region has 159 YAKAP clinics, consisting of 93 public and 66 private facilities, in addition to five accredited cancer screening test facilities and four GAMOT (Guaranteed and Accessible Medications for Outpatient Treatment) package providers.

Last Aug. 29, 2025, PhilHealth launched its first YAKAP program in Davao Region at the Arcadia Event Center to introduce new and improved healthcare benefits along with the unveiling of the YAKAP logo.
