THE 10TH Infantry (Agila) Division welcomed 104 new soldiers into its ranks on Nov. 9, 2025, marking the successful completion of the Infantry Orientation Training (INFOT) Class 02-2025.
Colonel Roberto Bunagan, Agila Division inspector general, led the closing ceremony held at the 10th Division Training School (10DTS), located at Camp General Manuel T. Yan Sr.
The nearly two-month rigorous training heavily featured territorial defense operations, a crucial component as the Philippine Army continues its strategic shift from focusing primarily on internal security to external security.
Bunagan lauded the 10DTS for preparing the new privates to become “operationally ready” for their field assignments. The training focused on equipping the soldiers with the specialized knowledge and skills needed for jungle, mountain, and urban operations.
“This training was not designed to break you but to build you. It aims to shape your character and equip you with the knowledge, skills, and attitude needed for jungle, mountain, and urban operations,” Bunagan said during his address.
The graduating class, officially designated as the Mansilak Class (Mandirigmang Sundalong Isinilang Laban sa Karahasan), is composed of 102 male soldiers and two female soldiers.
These newly minted infantrymen will be deployed to various units under the 10th ID. Their immediate focus will be on sustaining areas already declared insurgency-free and NPA-free.
