THE DAVAO City Police Office (DCPO) caught a regional high-value target and seized P400,000 worth of shabu in an anti-illegal drug operation in Purok 1, Barangay 15-B, Davao City, at approximately 2:25 a.m. on Nov. 4.
The operation, led by the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU), led to the arrest of alias Badrudin, a 34-year-old jobless resident of Mamasapano, Maguindanao.
Captain Hazel Tuazon, the spokesperson of the Davao City Police Office, said Badrudin is listed as Regional Priority Target Number 4.
Confiscated from the suspect’s possession was suspected shabu with an estimated standard drug price of ₱408,000.
Colonel Mannan C. Muarip, DCPO chief, said they remained dedicated to eliminating the threat posed by illegal drugs, which “pose a grave threat to public safety and social order, destroying lives and weakening the moral fabric of families and communities.”
He urged the active cooperation of the community, emphasizing that vigilance, timely reporting, and partnership with law enforcement are crucial to ensuring Davao City remains safe, drug-free, and peaceful.
