THE 39TH Infantry Battalion (39IB), in collaboration with the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) of Davao del Sur, conducted the initial profiling of 19 Former Rebels (FRs) on October 2, 2025.
The profiling, held at the 39IB Headquarters in Barangay Poblacion, Makilala, is the crucial first phase of the FRs’ application for amnesty under the national government’s reintegration program. It also serves as the registration process for the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP).
The profiling aims to collect vital information to assess the former rebels’ eligibility for amnesty and facilitate their smooth return to mainstream society.
This initiative aligns with the objectives of the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC), supporting the government’s broader efforts for peace and reintegration.
Former rebels who completed the profiling and met all eligibility requirements will receive various forms of assistance, including amnesty, livelihood support, and other socio-economic benefits.
The 39IB underscored its unwavering commitment to promoting peace, security, and reconciliation in communities formerly affected by insurgency.
The unit emphasized that through sustained collaboration with local government units and partner agencies, it aims to provide meaningful opportunities for former rebels to rebuild their lives and contribute positively to society.
