VICE PRESIDENT Sara Duterte launched a scathing critique against the current administration on Sunday, Sept. 21, 2025, in Nagoya, Japan, accusing it of abuse, corruption, and a disregard for constitutional principles.
The vice president asserted that “corruption is abuse,” claiming that the current government’s true face is one of “abuse and corruption.”
She linked recent heavy flooding in the Philippines to this alleged misconduct, suggesting it was a divine punishment that exposed corrupt officials.
Hindi niya naisip na merong Diyos,” the vice president said in a rally in Nagoya, Japan.
“So anong ginawa ng Diyos? Naglabasan na ang buwaya (What did God do? You should be ashamed,” Duterte said, “He submerged the Philippines in floods. And now, the crocodiles have come out from the DPWH because the water rose. Crocodiles have come out).”
She also claimed that President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. is “covering up” budget issues and is simply telling the people “what they want to hear” to boost his ratings.
She stated that he does this without considering a higher power.
