DCPO says no bomb threat after vehicle reported abandoned

THE DAVAO City Police Office (DCPO) said there was no bomb threat after an abandoned Hyundai Accent sedan was discovered on Saturday morning, Aug. 16, 2025, near Legaspi Oil, at Km. 10 in Sasa, Buhangin District.

According to a report from the Davao City Police Office (DCPO), a call from Central 911 alerted the Sasa Police Station about the abandoned vehicle.

 A responding police officer, PMSG Askali, was dispatched to the area to investigate.

Upon arrival, the officer interviewed a motorist who claimed to have witnessed the incident around 5 a.m. 

The witness claimed that the driver of the sedan exited the vehicle to urinate and then walked away in an unknown direction.

The Hyundai Accent, bearing plate number UQU 239, was impounded at the Buhangin Police Station, and authorities are currently working to identify and locate the driver.
