THE DAVAO City Police Office (DCPO) concluded its security deployment for All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day (Undas 2026), recording zero major incidents as 174,807 visitors safely paid tribute to their departed loved ones in cemeteries.

DCPO director PCOL Peter B. Madria credited the peaceful outcome to extensive operational readiness, maximum police visibility, and strong community cooperation throughout the multi-day observance.

“The incident-free observance reflects the importance of operational readiness, inter-agency collaboration, and strong community partnership in ensuring public safety,” Madria said, acknowledging the dedication of security personnel, volunteer advocacy groups, and the general public.

To secure public and private cemeteries, the DCPO implemented comprehensive safety measures and strict crowd management in close coordination with local government units, partner agencies, and the city’s safety and security cluster.

The unified security framework mobilized a total force multiplier that included 556 PNP officers and 136 personnel augmented from Task Force Davao, the Philippine Coast Guard, and the Bureau of Fire Protection.

They were supported by 1,232 members from various community advocacy groups who assisted in monitoring crowd flow, managing traffic, and enforcing security protocols at entry points.

With the conclusion of Undas operations, the DCPO maintained that police units will remain on heightened alert to sustain general peace and order across the city.
