THE DAVAO City Police Office (DCPO) has linked a series of armed robberies to the same pair of suspects riding in tandem, prompting authorities to offer a ₱500,000 cash reward for information leading to their arrest.
DCPO spokesperson PLTCOL Ma. Teresita Gaspan said the string of incidents began at around 1:35 a.m. on Oct. 6, 2026, inside a subdivision where a female student walking home was threatened at gunpoint by the suspects, who snatched her bag containing ₱2,000 in cash.
Just minutes later, the same suspects targeted a commercial establishment where patrons were drinking. A viral video of the incident showed one of the suspects opening fire, wounding the owner in the arm before abandoning the holdup attempt.
The suspects then proceeded to the Matina area, where they held up a minimart and took another ₱2,000.
“For now, we are looking into persons of interest, but still, the in-depth investigation is ongoing to determine if the suspects have connections. We are backtracking and reviewing all possible CCTV footage to identify and arrest the suspects,” Gaspan said.
Authorities have inventoried all CCTV footage capturing the sequence of events and are appealing to the public—particularly residents living near camera angles where the suspects can be clearly seen—to come forward with information.
Investigators are also utilizing witness accounts to build a case, with victims currently assisting the crime laboratory in creating facial composites of the suspects.
