A DRUG suspect was apprehended in the act during a joint checkpoint operation in Licanan, Lasang, Davao City, yielding suspected shabu valued at ₱142,800.
The successful operation took place at approximately 9:40 p.m. on Oct. 4, 2026. Joint forces from the Davao City Police Office (DCPO) Police Station 6 (Bunawan), led by PMAJ Janus Lumbaya Macli-ing, alongside personnel from the 1st CMFC and Task Force Davao, intercepted the suspects during a routine inspection at the fixed checkpoint.
Authorities discovered the prohibited substances in plain view during the vehicle check, prompting the immediate seizure of the illegal drugs.
DCPO director PCOL Peter Bauzon Madria commended the operating units for the successful arrest.
The DCPO reiterated its commitment to intensifying anti-illegal drug campaigns and called on the public to maintain their support for local law enforcement in keeping Davao City safe and drug-free.
