DCPO tightens school security across Tugbok following online threat at Biao National High School

FOLLOWING a recent online threat, the Davao City Police Office (DCPO) boosted security at Biao National High School and forged tighter partnerships with administrators and local officials of Tugbok District.

On Oct. 1, 2026, DCPO director PCOL Peter B. Madria, alongside Police Station 20 (Los Amigos) commander PMAJ Roel C. Ibañez, personally coordinated with Biao National High School principal Armando Travero to oversee follow-up security monitoring.

To ensure a safe and secure learning environment, the DCPO leadership has reinforced police visibility around the school perimeter. Law enforcers received orders to maintain strict vigilance and keep open lines of communication with school officials and recognized community force multipliers.

Meanwhile, Madria also held consultative meetings with Los Amigos National High School Principal III Mr. Elmer Suarez and Tacunan National High School head Priscilla A. Bednar, alongside Tacunan Punong Barangay Arnold Asube.

The meetings aimed to institutionalize a unified safety network linking law enforcement directly with the academic sector. The DCPO vowed to sustain intensified, intelligence-driven security operations across all educational institutions and public spaces to guarantee community protection throughout Davao City.
