POP MART has expanded its presence in the Philippines with the opening of its first Mindanao pop-up store at Ayala Malls Abreeza, Davao City, as the global collectibles brand looks to reach more customers outside Metro Manila.
The Davao store, which opened on July 2, comes less than a month after POP MART launched its first Visayas pop-up at Ayala Center Cebu on June 4.
The pop-up store features the brand’s popular CRYBABY collection, including the new “Cry Me An Ocean” series.

Katherine May Magpatoc, general manager of Ayala Malls Abreeza, said POP MART’s arrival shows the company’s confidence in Davao City and the Mindanao market.
“We are very excited because this is the first POP MART in Mindanao. Finally, fans in Davao no longer have to travel to other cities to buy the items they have been waiting for,” Magpatoc said.
She added that the opening also shows Davao’s growing appeal to international lifestyle and hobby brands.

POP MART Philippines Country Head Marilen Villamayor said the Davao opening is an important step in the brand’s expansion in the country. She said POP MART “is more than just toys”, as each collection features unique designs and stories that connect with fans.
The new store is expected to make POP MART’s products easier to access for collectors of popular characters such as Labubu, Hirono, Skullpanda, CRYBABY, among others.
POP MART is known for its “blind box” concept, where customers buy sealed boxes without knowing which figure they will get until they open it.
The store offers products at different price points, making them available to more customers.
