MAJOR General Adonis Ariel G. Orio, commander of the Eastern Mindanao Command (EastMinCom), conducted a series of unit visits to three key infantry brigades on Dec. 5-6, underscoring his command guidance and operational priorities for the region.

Orio and his party visited the headquarters of the 401st Infantry “Unite N Fight” Brigade, the 402nd Infantry “Stingers” Brigade, and the 403rd Infantry “Peacemaker” Brigade, where they were warmly received by the respective commanders, officers, and enlisted personnel.

Orio’s visit included a “Talk to Troops” session where he presented his command guidance and emphasized the indispensable role of every soldier in maintaining EastMinCom’s current security successes.

Key directives highlighted by the Commander include:

  1. Sustained Pursuit Operations: Stressing the importance of ensuring EastMinCom’s Area of Operations remains secure and firmly protected.
  2. Strengthening Partnerships: Emphasizing collaboration with Local Government Units (LGUs), law enforcement agencies, and local communities to enhance early warning efforts and overall area security.
  3. Inter-Agency Collaboration: Calling for continued cooperation in territorial defense operations.
  4. Force Readiness: Highlighting the need for consistent improvement in training, logistics, and maintaining preparedness for Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response (HADR) and other support missions.

Leadership and professionalism

Orio also specifically addressed the brigade commanders, reminding them to supervise their personnel and empower their non-commissioned officers.

He stressed the critical need to lead by example while upholding the core military values of professionalism, non-partisanship, discipline, and mission focus.

The series of visits reaffirmed EastMinCom’s strong support for its subordinate brigades’ operational efforts and underscored their collective dedication to sustaining peace, security, and long-term stability across Eastern Mindanao.
