THE 10TH Infantry (Agila) Division officially joined the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP)-wide launch of the 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAW) on Nov. 24, 2025.
The kickoff event was held at the 10ID Agila Hall in Camp General Manuel T. Yan Sr., Tuboran, Mawab, Davao de Oro.
The campaign, an annual observance aimed at fostering a culture of non-violence against women, saw the Philippine Army reaffirming its commitment to upholding Republic Act 9262, also known as the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004.
Major General Alvin Luzon, commander of the 10th Infantry Division, expressed the division’s support for the nationwide advocacy.“
“As we join this year’s observance of the 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women, the 10th Infantry ‘Agila’ Division stands united in promoting respect, equality, and protection for every woman,” said Luzon.
“It is our firm and unwavering position that violence against women has no place in the ‘Agila’ Division or in our communities,” he added.
