P4.5-M worth of shabu seized, 2 nabbed in Carmen drug bust

AUTHORITIES arrested two drug suspects during an early morning buy-bust operation on Nov. 25, 2025, in Purok 7, Barangay Ising, Carmen.

Nephi Noli Dimaandal, the spokesperson of PDEA XI, identified the suspects as alias Dodong and Jun, who were apprehended at approximately 2:48 a.m.

Dimaandal said they were arrested after allegedly conspiring to sell one medium heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing approximately 25 grams of suspected shabu (Methamphetamine hydrochloride), which has an estimated street value of ₱125,000, to a PDEA poseur-buyer.

The main haul seized during the operation included 11 additional sachets of suspected shabu in various sizes, weighing approximately 550 grams. This bulk seizure has an estimated street value of ₱4,400,000.

Drug paraphernalia and the marked buy-bust money were also recovered.The total estimated street value of all seized illegal drugs is approximately ₱4,525,000.

The operation was a coordinated effort involving agents from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) XI, specifically its Davao del Norte and Davao de Oro provincial offices, in partnership with the 2nd Davao del Norte Provincial Mobile Force Company, and the Carmen Municipal Police Station.

The suspects are now detained and will be facing a charge for violating Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
