WOMEN’S Run PH returns to Davao City in its 2nd year and is expected to draw 3,500 participants at SM Lanang on Jan 18.
Raniel Myka Rosendo, event manager of Women’s Run PH, said this year’s event will be a bigger celebration and that the slots had been sold out.
“We are all set, and we are still dedicated to giving the best quality events and running experience to the ladies,” she said during the PEP Talks on Friday, Jan 9.
Rosendo shared that last year’s event was very successful with warm reception and had garnered 1,700 participants.
“Once we sold out of the 1,700, there were still a lot of ladies who were asking for more slots. That’s why this year we increased it,” she said.
The upcoming event will include runs of 1km for the kids, while 5km and 10km will be exclusive for women.
Women’s Run PH was created to increase women’s participation in sports and to celebrate empowerment.
