MAJOR peace gains continue to sweep Mindanao as the 10th Infantry Division reported a total of 330 surrenders comprising active combatants, lie-low members, and Militiang Bayan since June 2025.
Division Public Affairs Office chief MAJ Ruben Gadut said this during a press briefing at The Royal Mandaya Hotel on Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2026.
Gadut highlighted recent operational successes, including the surrender of Alias Sabay in Talaingod, Davao del Norte, who handed over a caliber .30 rifle, six magazines, ammunition, and explosives.
In Davao Occidental, 17 underground mass organizations also surrendered to the 73rd Infantry Battalion in Barangay Taluman, alongside the surrender of former Guerrilla Front 53 member Ka Jojo in President Roxas, Cotabato.
Military efforts have also yielded 179 assorted firearms and 20 anti-personnel landmines through combat operations and surrenders.
Meanwhile, interagency territorial defense exercises led by the 1002nd Infantry Brigade are advancing past planning phases to incorporate joint naval interoperability and local government support.
