  • High-value suspect arrested in Davao City police sting

THE DAVAO City Police Office (DCPO) seized over ₱15 million worth of suspected shabu from a high-value individual (HVI) around 8 p.m. in Villa Conchita Subdivision, Barangay Bago Gallera on May 14, 2026.

The Baliok Police Station (PS17), under the personal supervision of DCPO director Col. Peter Madria and station commander PMaj. Harold S. Untalan, led the operation leading to the arrest of alias Bai.

Aside from the illegal drugs—valued at a standard price of ₱15,640,000—police also recovered a .357 caliber revolver loaded with two rounds of live ammunition.

The suspect faces charges for violations of Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) and Republic Act 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act).

“Operations like this are not only aimed at arresting offenders but also at saving lives and protecting the youth,” Madria said, emphasizing that the seizure prevented a significant volume of narcotics from reaching the streets.

He credited the success to “intelligence-driven operations” and urged the public to remain vigilant.

The DCPO maintains that this operation is part of an intensified campaign to dismantle drug networks and sustain peace and order across Davao City.
